Position:

We are currently hiring an intern for a winter term position, January to April 2027, in our Winnipeg office. Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and plan to return to school after completing the internship to be eligible to apply.

This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be eligible to work full-time for the entire duration of the program.

The Corporate Platform — Financial Systems Pod at IGM is a highly collaborative group with experience in and passion for delivering innovative solutions using the latest technology and insights. The Pod delivers solutions for Finance, Sustainability and Audit.

As a Business Systems Analyst Intern, you will work alongside the members of our teams and contribute to the delivery of technology solutions for our business partners.

What You Will Work On:

This is a hands-on term. Depending on where the Pod's work lands during your placement, you can expect to contribute to some combination of the following:

- Supporting our enterprise financial systems landscape, including SAP and SAP Concur, through analysis, testing and documentation




- Contributing to our multi-year Finance modernization programme, including our move to SAP S/4HANA
- Building and testing AI agents and automations that reduce manual effort in Finance, Sustainability and Audit processes
- Helping improve how the Pod itself works — documentation, intake, reporting and internal process

Responsibilities:

- Gain the business and technical knowledge required to complete assigned tasks and to define and implement solutions that meet business requirements
- Investigate system issues to help determine the cause and evaluate solution options
- Liaise with business stakeholders to understand their business objectives and solution requirements
- Collaborate with other technology team members to understand problems and formulate solutions
- Author system documentation to support solution development and testing
- Author instructional documentation to improve the team's internal processes
- Perform hands-on configuration of systems where required (for example SAP, ServiceNow, Jira)
- Assist in designing, building and testing AI agents and workflow automations using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform or comparable tooling
- Help evaluate where generative AI can responsibly reduce manual effort in Finance, Sustainability and Audit processes, and document the outcomes
- Prepare and validate prompts, knowledge sources and test cases so that AI-assisted solutions produce accurate, explainable results

Requirements:

- Enrolled in a business or technology post-secondary program
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to analyze, investigate and solve problems
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Capability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
- Positive attitude, with a constant focus on how to do things better
- Adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges
- Knowledge of tools and technologies (for example the Microsoft Office suite)

Considered an Asset:





- Exposure to building AI agents, copilots or chatbots — for example Microsoft Copilot Studio, Google Gemini or Gemini Gems, Power Automate, or comparable low-code agent platforms — through coursework, a personal project, a hackathon or a previous work term
- Exposure to enterprise systems such as SAP, ServiceNow or Jira, or to data tools such as Excel (advanced), Power BI or SQL

You do not need all of the above. We are looking for curiosity, judgment and a willingness to learn — we will teach you the rest.

The expected annual base salary range (prorated for the term) for this role is $44,000 – $47,000, which is determined based on year of study, IGM program, geographic location and the candidate's skills, knowledge and experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for paid time off.
