Contribute to positive change as a Youth Worker focused on mental health support at PhoenixCenter. This casual, on-call opportunity centers on empowering youth and young adults. As a Youth Support Worker in the Mental Health and Substance Use department, your role is crucial in providing essential support services to at-risk clients aged 17-24.
You will coordinate activities and provide resources necessary for clients to thrive. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential in this position, ensuring clients receive holistic support tailored to their individual needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Support youth in accessing PhoenixCenter services
- Engage with young adults through activities and discussions
- Assist clients with personal needs and community involvement
- Maintain a safe and clean residence environment
- Document all client interactions and incidents accurately Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 12 and relevant certification
- One year’s experience in community social services
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and positive driving record
- Preferred certifications in First Aid and Food Safe
