Position Overview:
This role is responsible for all aspects of in-house service or manufacturing projects. The individual will play a key role in the delivery of PREP products or services to meet clients’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete the service or assembly of units from start to finish:
- Participate in the development of scope, technical requirements, set-up of work area(s)
- Establish methods to meet schedules; prioritization of tasks
- Technical assessment of equipment, report completion
- Inspect, test, diagnose and repair equipment
- Requisition project materials and supplies
- Lead, mentor and train PREP Millwright apprentices assigned to the project team
- Resolve technical issues and recommend measures to improve design or productivity
- Ensure that standards for secure working conditions are observed
- Perform hazard assessments as required
- Perform part inspections and generate Non-conformance reports (NCR’s) as required
- Implement and maintain improvement standards such as 5S, Kaizen and Kanban
Work Location and Work Arrangement:
This is a full-time, on-site position at our Surrey, BC facility. Hands-on attendance is required to support production operations and physical tasks in the shop.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Millwright is preferred
- Relevant work experience with gearbox and rotating power transmission products; mobile and stationary hydraulics; and on/off highway trucks.
- Strong computer literacy including experience with the MS office suite
- Experience with Energy or Mining equipment an asset.
- Experience with Electrical/VFD/PLC.
- Strong service background
- Ability to interact with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
- Good organization of tools and materials
- Consistent execution of safe work habits and practices
- Confident, articulate, and self-disciplined
- Team player
- Recent driver’s abstract
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $44.00-$48.00 per hour
