Using a multi-disciplinary approach, our Centre offers a dynamic range of services that support the development of individuals on the autism spectrum at all life stages, along with their caregivers.Your Role on Our TeamWe’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and proactive Intake Coordinator to serve as the first point of connection for families entering SAAAC services. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring families feel welcomed, informed, and supported from their very first interaction with our Centre. You will manage incoming inquiries, guide families through the intake process, and help connect them to the programs and services that best meet their needs. Working closely with clinical and community teams, you will help ensure a smooth and responsive intake experience while supporting families who may be navigating complex systems for the first time. and supporting families through meaningful first connections.Main ResponsibilitiesIntake CoordinationScreen potential clients for eligibility across clinical and community-based programsConduct intake calls and initial assessments with families and caregiversRespond to program inquiries received through phone, website, email, and walk-insCollect and maintain accurate client information, documentation, and medical recordsSchedule and facilitate intake meetings and program placementsEnsure timely, respectful, and clear communication throughout the intake processConduct outreach to families on program waitlists to assess needs and readinessProvide updates on program availability and timelinesSupport families in understanding available services and next stepsMaintain organized and up-to-date waitlists across multiple programsClient Data & Systems ManagementMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in the client databaseTrack intake activity, inquiries, and program placementsEnsure all documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with internal processesCommunity & Organizational EngagementBuild and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partnersCollaborate with internal teams to support smooth transitions into programsParticipate in team meetings, training,
and ongoing process improvementsMinimum QualificationsDiploma or degree in social work, psychology, health services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and professional approachExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExperience in intake coordination, client services, or administrative support is an assetAbility to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environmentCultural sensitivity and ability to work with newcomer and underserved communitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office 365; experience with Penelope or similar systems is an assetA strong commitment to SAAAC’s values of equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive careSpeaking additional language is an asset.The SAAAC Autism Centre welcomes and encourages applications from individuals with disabilities.
