The Commodities trading business is one of the firm’s fastest‑growing areas, operating across financial and physical markets including Oil & Gas, Power, Emissions, Agriculture, Base and Precious Metals, and commodities indices.The organization runs complex, front‑to‑back trading platforms supporting global operations across North America and Europe, with a strong focus on system resilience, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.About the OpportunityThis opportunity is for a Business Analyst – Commodities / Capital Markets to join a front‑office‑aligned trading technology team supporting the Commodities business. You will work closely with traders, operations, risk, and technology teams to enhance systems and processes that underpin trading and settlement activities.The role has a strong functional focus on commodities trading workflows and Openlink (Endur/Findur) platforms, covering trade lifecycle processes from deal capture through settlement and reporting. You will play a key role in translating business needs into clear system requirements and driving improvements that support business growth and risk management.What You’ll DoPartner with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand commodities trading workflows and system usageGather, analyze, and document business requirements for enhancements to trading and post‑trade systemsAnalyze existing Openlink configurations and trading processes to identify gaps, risks,
and optimization opportunitiesSupport solution design by translating business requirements into functional specificationsConduct impact assessments for system changes and support implementation planningParticipate in testing activities, including system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure solutions meet business needsDocument business processes and create training materials for end users and support teamsProvide explicit and regular communication to management on project progress, risks, and dependenciesWhat You BringMust‑Have QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in capital markets or commodities environmentsStrong foundational knowledge of Openlink (Endur/Findur) platform configurationAdvanced understanding of commodities trading workflows, including pre‑trade, execution, post‑trade processing, settlement, and regulatory reportingSolid knowledge of financial reference data concepts, including clients, books, securities, trades, and positionsProficiency with SQL and data analysis to investigate system behavior and validate data integrityExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teamsProven experience gathering requirements, writing functional specifications, and managing stakeholder expectationsFamiliarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and change management processesNice‑to‑Have QualificationsBackground or exposure to Java, Python, or C# to better collaborate with development teamsExperience supporting both physical and financial commoditiesExposure to regulatory reporting or risk management processes within commodities tradingWhat You’ll Love About This OpportunityDirect exposure to a high‑growth commodities trading businessA front‑office‑aligned BA role with strong stakeholder interactionThe opportunity to work on end‑to‑end trading lifecycle systemsComplex, real‑world problem solving at the intersection of business and technologyA stable hybrid working model within a globally recognized institution#J-18808-Ljbffr
