Salary Range: $52,000.00 To $55,000.00 AnnuallyConvergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results-driven, and forward-thinking Project Cost Assistant to join our amazing culture in one of our Canadian locations. Under direct supervision, the Project Cost Assistant include maintenance of all job records, including job set-up, progress billing preparation, warranty letters, change orders and job notes. send notifications of job bookings to the Project Managers and sales team.Assist in project cost administrators with invoicing and draw billingsAssist with level one approval queues, take lead during vacation and absences.Work closely with project managers and collections to ensure timely receipt of invoices.Assist project cost administrators with invoicing, project notesAttend weekly/monthly project meetings when required by the Project Cost SupervisorAssist with the sub-contractor payment vetting process and creation of sub-contractor purchase ordersActs as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.Executes all work in accordance with Provincial, local regulations, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.Communicates with and works with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of the Convergint Technology Center, and company.Keeps up to date and informed on all company policies.Presents a professional image of Convergint Technologies at all times in appearance and behaviour.Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.What You’ll NeedGood interpersonal and verbal communications skills and ability to deal with a wide cross section of people both internal and external to the business.Good Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point skills.Basic financial analytical skills including cost control and ability to interpret financial reports.Good accounts receivable knowledge.Strong customer service/care skills.Strong attention to detail and results focused.Strong team orientation.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and direction in a dynamic work environment.Good proficiency with financial software packagesRequirementsCollege diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Accounting or similar program required; extensive relevant experience will also be considered.Experience Requirements:Minimum of one years’ experience in bookkeeping or an accounting setting.
