Through mentorship, structured orientation, and hands‑on clinical experience, new graduates gain the confidence and skills needed to thrive in their first nursing role.The program consists of:12‑week supported transition‑to‑practice programDedicated mentorship and clinical coachingEmergency Department placement at STEGHMinistry of Health funded initiativeOpportunities for full‑time employment following completionRecruitment beginning April 2026Support new nurses in Ontario as they transition into practiceImprove the integration of new nurses into the workforcePromote the availability of full‑time employment hours for new nurses; andPromote health workforce planning at the organizational level.WHAT YOU MUST HAVECanadian‑educated nurses who:Graduated with a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a program in CanadaHave not been employed as a nurse (RN) in Ontario in the six (6) months prior to participating in the NGG programMatch with STEGH on the NGG online portal within 12 months of obtaining their CNO licenseAre legally eligible to work full‑time in OntarioCommit to accepting full‑time employment or the equivalent of full‑time hours with STEGH after completing the NGG program transition into practice periodInternationally educated nurses (IENs) who:Completed their nursing education outside of CanadaHave not been employed as a nurse (RN) in Ontario in the six (6)
