05-01-2026CLERK 3 - COURT SERVICESPOSITION OVERVIEWSurrey Police Service (SPS) has an exciting opportunity for a Clerk 3 – Court Services (Regular Full-Time) to join our Information Management & Technology Division, within the Corporate Services Bureau. Reporting to the Court Services Manager, the incumbents will provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of court services and related departmental functions. The Clerk 3 will support staff, assist the public, and contribute to the smooth delivery of services across the department. Additional related duties are performed in support of organizational operations.SCHEDULE / HOURS OF WORKThe anticipated work schedule for the base full-time position is 35 hours a week. Please note, the hours are subject to change based on operational needs and adherence to the Collective Agreement.RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares and formats a variety of legal documents, reports, and correspondence.Accurately prepares and maintains records, files, and court-related documents according to established procedures.Prepares and assists in organizing and assigning classifications or numerical designations to documents, records, and plans.Handles records, including data collection, maintenance, reconciliation, and balancing.Operates a variety of office equipment and uses relevant software applications.Provides information to resolve inquiries and complaints for the public and staff.Provides advice and guidance to staff on new procedures and atypical issues.Explains departmental regulations and procedures.Assists other staff in their duties as needed.Performs related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of Grade 12,



supplemented by several courses in word processing, office practices and computer applications.Minimum two years experience and training in an office environment.Must have accurate typing speed of 40 wpm.This position requires both SPS Security Clearance and RCMP Reliability Status.
