You understand the unique needs of your category to lead, support and guide a team of specialists in their efforts to develop and deliver the technical specifications and factory competencies to be buy ready and production ready, while meeting product cost strategies, quality and manufacturing standards and efficiency. You provide insight and recommend sustainable strategies for your product category to continuously improve speed, optimize total product cost, support margin, and best utilize supply chain capability and efficiencies to achieve the product intent, function, and performance with integrity.Core activitiesBuilding, leading, coaching, and guiding a high performing team of Technical Commercialization Specialists who manage the buy ready and production ready process at our factoriesManaging workload between team members and calendar requirements to ensure timelines are met throughout the commercialization processLeading, training, and guiding a team of commercialization specialists to improve scalability, efficiency, and quality in our manufacturing baseManaging the new model product specification process from fit approval to bulk production enabling the accurate planning of raw materials to meet our quality and delivery expectationsEnsuring the seasonal carryover and transition process supports Supply Chain team needs and seasonal updates are metManaging processes and planning workload to ensure timelines are met to support delivery expectationsReporting and driving improvement on key performance metrics that deliver speed, quality, cost, and efficiencyReporting team performance metrics regularly to management team (e.G., product category execution against the corporate calendar, workflow, team capacity vs seasonal requirements)Managing the standard documentation process to provide sufficient detail to accurately produce finish goods, maintain an accurate database of BOM (Bill of Materials) information,



aid raw material commitments and support Quality processesSupporting with the building of direct development to extend our development capacity and ensure Arc’teryx continues to achieve state of the art opportunities for product innovationProposing sourcing strategies for your product category to optimize total product cost, support margin, and best utilize supply chain capabilities and efficienciesPartnering with Sourcing and their strategy to provide recommendation for the seasonal model allocation for your product category.Supporting Sourcing partners on the assessment of new factories needed to support growth, category expansion and flexibility in our supply chainSupporting the product development creation processPartnering with Design, Product Creation Development, Supply Chain, and our external vendors to provide continuous improvements in speed, scalability, efficiency, and consistency in our development to manufacturing processProviding the seasonal timeline targets and delivery plan for your product and/or factory portfolioWorking with the Product Integrity team to ensure our vendor base understands, utilizes and supports the evolution of construction standardsSupporting the Compliance team in ensuring all testing requirements are consistently metBuilding strong partnerships with our vendor base ensuring our expectations of our Product Creation and Commercialization process are explicit and deliverables achievable in the expected timeUpholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chainWorking closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity buildingAdhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing PolicyFuture workPart of building SOPs between Product Creation Development and CommercialisationBuilding and hiring a team of technical specialists for the appropriate product categories.Training on our development and quality standards/processes and planning training for future hiresCollaborating on cross‑functional projectsRequirementsBachelor’s degree, preferably in Apparel or Textile Design, Technology, Merchandising, or Engineering8+ years’ experience in sourcing, design, development, production, or merchandising, ideally including 3+ years’ experience in people leadershipStrong knowledge of apparel construction, material construction and properties, pattern making, costing, bill of materials, embroidery, and surface applicationsProven skills in problem solving, interpreting design intent and product innovationProven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturersStrong verbal and written communication skillsExtreme attention to detailAble to travel globally, as needed, to support the business expectationsStrong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong computer skills in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft OfficeSet a clear vision, align your team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectivesProactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutionsHighly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguityBalance of autonomy and collaborationInspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvementSeek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is rightPassion for the work and a love for the outdoorsEqual OpportunityArc’teryx is committed to actively creating and fostering a culture of inclusivity where voices are heard, people are seen, and values are respected.
