Title: Senior Mine Manager

Location: Canada (FIFO)

Reports to: General Manager

Team size: 3 direct reports, indirectly lead approx. 500-700 across the site.

Salary: Circa $400k Package

The Opportunity:

A leading underground mining operation is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Manager to join its leadership team.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is the operational second-in-command and will play a critical part in the development of the mine operations and technical services team, helping to improve production performance, strengthening operational discipline and developing the next generation of technical and operational leaders.

This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction of a large-scale underground operation while working alongside an experienced General Manager and a highly capable Technical Services and operations team.

Position Overview:

The Senior Mine Manager will provide leadership across underground mining operations, technical services and production execution, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient delivery of the mine plan.

The successful candidate will also mentor and challenge the site's Technical Services leadership, helping to strengthen technical decision-making and operational integration.

The operation is technically complex, requiring robust underground mining expertise within a seismic environment and experience across challenging underground mining methods.

Key Responsibilities:





- Provide strategic and operational leadership across underground mining activities.
- Deliver safe execution of short and long-term mine plans.
- Coach, mentor and develop technical and operational leaders.
- Partner closely with Technical Services to optimise mine performance.
- Drive improvements in productivity, operational efficiency and cost performance.
- Build a high-performance culture founded on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Support budgeting, operational planning and achievement of business objectives.
- Act as deputy to the General Manager when required.

Ideal Requirements:

- A university qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive underground mining leadership experience, ideally 15+ years.
- Experience as a Mine Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Mining Manager or similar senior operational leadership role.
- Strong technical understanding of underground mining, including exposure to seismic environments and complex mining methods.
- The credibility to coach and challenge experienced Technical Services professionals across mine planning, ventilation, ground control and geotechnical disciplines.
- Proven success leading in underground operations and developing high-performing teams.
- Experience delivering operational improvement, performance optimisation
- French language capability, or a solid working foundation in French, is essential.
