Construction Safety InstructorLocation: Whitby, ON, CAOperating Sector: NuclearPay Range: $70,000 - $100,000We are looking for a highly motivated leader to be a part of Canada’s largest clean power project.What You’ll Do HereResponsible for training project employees on a variety of Environmental Health and Safety related programs such as Work at Heights, Supervisor Training, First Aid, Elevating Work Platform, Forklift Operation, etc.Collaborates across the local organization and network to gather expectations, share best practices, and coordinate program requirementsCreate an environment conducive to learning for employeesProvide timely feedback to management and supervisors relating to employee competencyEstablish measurable goals and levels of competency of each traineeProvide trainees with timely and relevant feedback, both positive and constructiveDocument all training in accordance with established legislative standards and project governancePromote a safety culture that supports continuous improvement in the EHS management system through active communication, participation and development of skills. Fosters a positive safety culture in which trainees’ value safetyWhat You Bring to the TeamA working knowledge of Provincial OHS LegislationExtensive knowledge of BTU trades and work practicesDemonstrated Leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skillsMinimum 5 years of experience in Health and Safety and training/facilitating within the construction industryRelevant Post-Secondary education or equivalent experience in the Health and Safety fieldA designation such as NCSO would be considered an assetTrain the Trainer Qualifications in programs such as Work at Heights, Liftow, Red Cross, etc.Robust analytical/problem solving skillsProficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint,
