Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, this role coordinates recruitment, onboarding, employee relations support, HR administration, and engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist plays a key role in delivering a positive employee experience while escalating complex or sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources.QualificationsProfessional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills2–3 years of administrative experience, with 1–2 years of HR experience preferredPrevious hotel experience considered an assetStrong organizational and administrative skills (writing, filing, tracking,



and coordination)Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretionStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organizationSound judgment in escalating employee concerns appropriatelyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demandsPrimary DutiesHR Operations & AdministrationMaintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files and HRIS recordsManage the HR inbox and phone line, responding to employee and candidate inquiries in a timely and professional mannerPrepare employment verifications and general HR documentationSupport compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment standardsAssist with maintaining and updating HR documents and recordsRecruitmentCoordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant tracking, and interview schedulingAct as a point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment processSupport hiring managers with recruitment coordination and logisticsGreet walk-in applicants and respond to general employment inquiriesOnboardingCoordinate onboarding processes, including collection of new hire documentation and HRIS data entryPrepare new hire materials (name tags, lockers, access cards, parking, employee benefits,



computer accounts, etc.)Support and/or assist with executing new hire orientation sessionsMaintain onboarding checklists and employee training recordsEmployee Relations & SupportAct as a first point of contact for employee questions and concernsProvide guidance on basic HR policies and proceduresDocument and elevate employee relations matters to the Director of Human Resources as appropriateSupport follow-up and administrative components of employee relations processesRecognition & EngagementCoordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programsChair the Recognition Committee and support participation initiativesAssist in planning events such as monthly recognition, birthdays, and Star of the Month programsPromote engagement on internal platforms such as BucketlistHealth & Safety & ComplianceUnderstand and work in accordance with health and safety mandatesSupport health and safety initiatives and maintain related documentationCo-Chair the Health & Safety CommitteeAdditional ResponsibilitiesFollow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and effectively communicate them to employeesSupport special projects and other HR initiatives as assignedIn our commitment to provide a selection process and work environment that is inclusive and barrier free, accommodation will be provided in accordance with the Canadian Human Rights Code.
