Job InformationTitle: Test Engineering Technologist – Process Medical (G)Id: 20661Type: Full TimeLocation: Bolton, ONSalary Range: $38.50–$45 hourlyResponsibilitiesPlan, execute, analyze and lead system-level and part-quality testing for new product development initiatives, establishing baseline process, cycle time limits, process window limits and performing systematic process troubleshooting for all part quality and system defects.Support development and testing of new applications/materials (e.G., BioResins, rPET, multilayer PET and Packaging, Medical).Contribute to the development of process guidelines and best practices and assist with establishing pass/fail criteria for recent applications as required.Participate in upfront risk identification efforts through FMEA or other methods.Participate in test plan review and contribute to improving data reliability.Challenge design performance and robustness, identify issues and opportunities for improvement up to and including system level.Support customer startups/Early Adopters through system buy‑off/acceptance and product launch team support.EducationBS in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science background preferred.Experience5+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.5+ years of experience working in project teams with both external and internal customers.5+ years of experience with plastic processing/part quality optimization; medical molding processexperience considered a prerequisite; experience with PET preforms, closures,
packaging applications is beneficial.Desired SkillsExcellent understanding of fluid power and electrical schematics.Experience with data analysis and writing technical reports.Previous hands‑on experience operating injection molding machines.Knowledge of instrumentation setup and data acquisition for sensors including pressure transducers, flow meters, thermocouples and thermal cameras.QualificationsStrong organizational skills.Demonstrated knowledge of plastic processing (medical applications, thin‑wall packaging, PET, closures).Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical and fluid power systems.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Ability to balance multiple initiatives with unique schedules and needs.Superb analytical and problem‑solving skills.Fundamental system understanding of the injection molding process and plastic resin families, and the auxiliary equipment commonly used.EEO StatementHusky TechnologiesTM is committed to equal employment opportunity and respect, value and welcome diversity in our workplace.AccommodationsHusky TechnologiesTM is committed to developing inclusive, barrier‑free selection processes and work environments.
