The Role Are you someone who is detail-oriented and results-driven, thrives in a quick-paced environment? The Senior Accountant will support our internal Finance Department. The ideal candidate will have experience coaching & mentoring a small team, full-cycle accounting, reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Previous experience in professional services is highly preferred. What You Will Do Financial Reporting Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses as well as any ad hoc reporting. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial data. General Ledger Management Supervise and review month-end tasks for accuracy and compliance. Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts. Oversee journal entries, accruals, and bank reconciliations. Maintain fixed asset schedules. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation (or in progress) strongly preferred. 1+ years coaching & mentoring a small team.
3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in professional services. Proficient in financial accounting software (QBO), as well as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word. Advanced Excel skills required. Experience with CaseWare, SAP Concur and iFirm preferably. Experience with Power BI an asset. Robust analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of leadership.
