OverviewForecast Methodologies is part of TBSM's Enterprise Stress Testing (EST), responsible for central ownership and analysis of the balance sheet and income Statement Forecast Methodologies for EWST & MST. The Canadian Line of Business Vertical team within EST supports end-to-end stress testing for TD's Canadian businesses across multiple lines of business. Workstreams include data aggregation, model execution, model development, reporting/analytics, governance, and regulatory support.ResponsibilitiesAct as subject matter expert on SAS (primarily) or Python, MLE, automation, and results aggregation.Developing & maintaining the backend automation infrastructure for the team's model development & execution commitments.Support ongoing efforts towards operational resilience through robust automation processes and sound programming practices.Develop and implement best practices for data aggregation, modelling, and stress testing processes.Drive bespoke solutions for modelling when data is limited, noisy, incomplete, or not ready for use.Maintain up-to-date documentation on data processing steps and conventions.Develop & maintain team-wide programming best practices, style guides, and tools to ensure consistency and reliability of modelling outcomes.Hands-on work with ad-hoc analyses and data quality assessment.Lead the preparation of ad hoc analysis for senior leadership.Enhance metadata understanding and documentation of data sources,
including known deficiencies relevant to modelling suitability.Apply sophisticated analytical thinking to identify solutions; communicate complex concepts in business terms; influence senior stakeholders.Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.QualificationsHigh level of SAS programming proficiency required; experience with adjacent technologies (R, Python) is an asset.Experience using SAS for enterprise data processing & automation.Undergraduate degree required; advanced technical degree preferred (e.G., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science).7+ years of relevant experience; solid knowledge of quantitative models and statistical analysis.Experience in Canadian P&C; and/or Canadian Wealth and/or NII considered beneficial.Data analytics experience with large data sets and business insights.Experience with Stress Testing and knowledge of PPNR requirements.Advanced knowledge of quantitative forecasting models and financial analysis techniques.Proven ability to use analytical tools and statistics for forecasting financial and business information.Demonstrated ability to drive transformation and change; excellent writtenand verbal communication skills.Ability to plan, develop, lead, and execute projects; independent action and effective follow-through.Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions aligned with business priorities.MS Office Suite proficiency, particularly MS Excel and Power BI.Location & ScheduleLocation: Toronto, Ontario, CanadaSchedule: 37.5 hours per weekRemuneration156,500 - 183,500 CAD.
