Structural Designer (Hybrid)Job SummaryWorking with the Principals, Engineers and Designers to create current designs, problem solve and technical tasks. You will develop skills in a variety of responsibilities including calculations, completeness of data and using prescribed analysis, design or computation methods.Our Structural Department works on a variety of projects including high rise, commercial, data centers, and public buildings. You will also be exposed to areas of Building Science.In This Role, You WillProvides structural design and technical support for structures including structural steel, reinforced concrete, precast concrete and timberUses initiative and judgment to resolve problems, interprets engineering specifications, investigates design and field engineering difficulties and co-ordinates work schedulesPrepares progress reportsConduct site investigations and evaluations of existing building and structuresProvide technical support, participate in investigations, report write ups, design development and site review phases of a variety of structural projects.Prepare construction Working Drawings, Specifications and Terms of ReferenceUses initiative and judgment to resolve problems, obtain and analyze data, design or modify equipment componentsSolves problems by applying standards and following detailed instructionsMakes decisions within established guidelines, procedures and practicesConduct condition survey assessments through the testing and evaluation of building envelope systemsPreparing reports, repair details and specifications for residential, commercial and industrial buildingsCollaborate with Salas O’Brien engineering offices across CanadaSkills/abilitiesUniversity Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering idealP.Eng.,
