The role focuses on helping students developapplied counselling competenciesthrough role-play exercises, group supervision, ethics discussions, and simulated counselling scenarios.The instructor supports students in translating theoretical knowledge into practical counselling skills includingreflective listening, empathy, emotional attunement, ethical decision-making, and therapeutic communication. The role also includes facilitatinggroup therapy simulations and preparing students for practicum placements, ensuring students are professionally prepared for real-world counselling environments.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Skills TrainingFacilitate live onlineclinical skills practice sessionsfor distance-learning students.Conductrole-play simulationsof counselling scenarios.Teach and demonstrate counselling micro-skills including reflective listening, empathy, rapport building, and therapeutic communication.Provideconstructive feedbackto support student skill development.Group Therapy Simulation & SupervisionFacilitategroup counselling role-play sessionsto help students practice group facilitation techniques.Act asGroup Supervisor,
observing student-led group sessions and providing reflective feedback.Support student understanding ofgroup dynamics, participation management, and therapeutic group processes .Ethics & Professional PracticeFacilitatecase discussions and ethical scenario analysisrelevant to counselling practice.Guide students in applyingethical frameworks, confidentiality standards, and professional boundaries .Support students inpreparing for practicum placements .Respond to student questions related topracticum expectations and readiness .Guide students onprofessional behaviour, client interaction, documentation practices, and ethical conductin counselling environments.Interactive Learning & Student EngagementUse virtual learning platforms to facilitatebreakout room discussions and supervised practice sessions .Createexperiential learning activitiesthat strengthen counselling competencies.Foster asafe, respectful, and inclusive learning environmentthat supports meaningful learning.QualificationsEducationMaster's degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work,
