Recreational Coordinator - Summer StudentWainwright, AB, CanadaJob DescriptionPosted Friday, April 24, 2026 at 8:00 AMCatholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a contract, part-time summer job for (35 hours per week) in Wainwright, Alberta. The length of the contract will be 8 weeks. This position is dependent upon government funding.Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.Job Summary:As a Recreational Coordinator, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a recreation program to children and adults with disabilities. You will be supporting caregiver support groups for families impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist adults with developmental disabilities with their day to day needsPromote Agency at community events.Ie. kids activities / FASD Awareness DayAttend staff meetings and participate in staff development trainingWork as part of the Agency teamAdministrative duties, such as filing, copying, scanning, shredding, supplies, special projectsParticipate on activities and tasks in various locations (required to travel)What This Job Requires:High school education completedCurrently enrolled or completed studies in Early Childhood Development, Child and Youth Care Worker, Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Psychology, or Disabilities programs would be considered an assetExperience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities is considered an assetSkills in planning and delivery of a programGain knowledge of children/adults with disabilitiesSkills in problem solving,
