Forklift OperatorRole SummaryThe Forklift Operator is responsible for the accurate moving, locating, and storing of materials, utilizing a forklift or other power-operated equipment.Key Results AreaSafe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certificationSafe and efficient movement of the product, including loading and unloading of trucksAccurately pick and pack items for shipment, potentially with a forkliftLabel and prepare items for shipmentWork with inventory control on correct product placementComplete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentationMaintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming itemsEnsure all items not required in the short term are restocked according to established proceduresUpdate the Warehouse Management System (WMS)



with the transactions completedPerform daily safety checklist and standard battery changing proceduresAssist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveriesAid in cycle counting and periodic inventoriesUpdate supervisor and team lead on issues or concernsMaintain a clean, organized, and secure work areaSupport and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable)All other duties as assignedSkills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious warehouse/manufacturing experience requiredForklift experience requiredCurrent forklift certification and/or the ability to become certified within 30 days is requiredBasic math and reading skillsMust be able to read and understand written and verbal instructionsAble to pay attention to details to ensure accuracyStrong team building skills and able to work well as part of a teamAble to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environmentPhysically able to lift, carry, bend, stretch, and stand for long periods of time, and able to handle heightsThe pay rate for this role is $23.50 an hour.#J-18808-Ljbffr
