We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career team at Mercer. This role will be based inMontreal. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.Mercer's Career business segment helps our clients around the world engage their talent to drive business performance. Career consultants partner with HR leaders, board members, and top‑level executives to optimize business performance through strategies that enable organizations to better reward and engage their people. We bring clients a range of integrated solutions across five practice areas: Workforce Rewards, Executive Rewards, Workforce Planning & Analytics, Communications & Change Management and HR Transformation.As a Compensation Analyst in the Rewards practice, you will work with a broad range of clients and industries in a stimulating environment, participating as an integral member of project teams to diagnose issues and design strategic human resource solutions that support clients' success. You will be responsible for providing crucial quantitative and qualitative analytical support to senior consultants and draw meaningful conclusions from client and market data.We will count on you to:Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry and organization‑specific issues, including compensation and rewards trends, business strategy, corporate performance, and hiring and retention challengesCombine an understanding of clients' internal needs with external market practices to help facilitate a client's go‑forward rewards strategy and programsAnalyze clients' strategic, financial, and organizational information to provide insights that will develop into talent strategies and solutionsDesign and implement executive, workforce,



and sales compensation structures and incentive plans to align pay and performance with corporate strategic objectivesDevelop and implement job evaluation systems and performance management programsPerform pay equity diagnostics that drive clients' pay equity compliance strategy for provincially and/or federally‑regulated clientsPrepare client reports and presentations, including recommendations presented to senior management, HR leaders, boards of directors, and executivesExample projects include:Designing and implementing a gender‑neutral, pay equity‑compliant job evaluation system to determine a company's internal hierarchyExecutive and non‑executive compensation benchmarkingConducting trends research regarding short and long‑term incentive programsDeveloping a base salary and bonus program for non‑executive employeesCreating a compensation program for sales positions, including commissionsCreating a career architecture including elements such as role profiles and career path toolsWhat You Need to HaveStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, both quantitative and qualitativeStrong working knowledge of Excel including advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX (MATCH), COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF, etc.) and developing analysis files and dashboardsDemonstrated experience in data analysis and presentation designExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsIntellectual curiosity and a drive to understand "the why", seeking opportunities to develop deeper understanding and new skillsFlexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under tight deadlines and changing client needsSuperior organizational skills and strong attention to detailWhat Makes You Stand Out?Completing a Bachelor's degree majoring in commerce, business, economics, finance, statistics, accounting, mathematics, actuarial sciences, psychology or HR preferred bySpring 2026Consulting, business, finance/banking, accounting, HR,
