Job SummarySecurity Officer: This role is essential to ensuring the safety and security of our staff, visitors, and premises. The ideal candidate is disciplined, vigilant, and committed to providing a safe working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor inbound and outbound traffic in accordance with internal traffic regulations.Patrol the perimeter and interior areas of the facility, identifying and addressing any unusual or suspicious activity.Assist employees and visitors with courtesy and professionalism, proactively addressing issues to ensure safety and a positive experience.Issue Access Cards when required according to the Access Control Policy.Respond appropriately to emergencies such as fire, medical incidents, or evacuation scenarios, following all established protocols.Maintain clear and accurate documentation of incidents and report directly to the Office Manager.Uphold a high standard of work discipline, punctuality, and presence throughout all shifts.Participate in rotating shift work, including day, afternoon,



and overnight shifts.RequirementsProven experience in the operation and management of security systems.Previous training and hands‑on experience in security or facility protection.Valid Ontario Security Guard License and a minimum of 3 years of experience.Experience with access control systems, CCTV monitoring, Access control systems.Strong ability to manage and mediate conflicts in a qualified and calm manner.CPR certification and readiness to respond in emergency situations.Excellent coordination, alertness, and the ability to remain focused for extended periods.Demonstrated commitment to reliability, discipline, and professional demeanor.Flexibility and willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Computer skills, including Word and spreadsheets; excellent communicationskills; proficient in writing reports.Position DetailsPosition Type: Full-time, Shift-based (Day, Afternoon, and Night shifts)Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour#J-18808-Ljbffr
