Job DescriptionJoin WSP’s Transit Bus & Fleet team and contribute to the delivery of complex, sustainability‑driven transit and fleet infrastructure projects. As a Civil Designer/Drafter, you will transform engineered concepts into constructable civil designs supporting electrified transit facilities across Canada.ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed civil designs for transit and fleet infrastructure projects from preliminary studies through detailed design and construction support.Prepare civil design and construction drawings based on conceptual designs developed by Professional Engineers.Produce CAD and Revit drawings including site layouts, grading, drainage, underground utilities, paving, and surface improvements.Prepare civil specifications, technical documentation, and conceptual drawings under the supervision of a Qualified Engineer.Support the preparation of tender documents, quantity take‑offs, construction cost estimates, and evaluation of contractor bids related to civil scope.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, structural, and environmental to ensure integrated and constructable design solutions.Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all civil design outputs while supporting project delivery objectives.Represent WSP in technical discussions with clients as part of the project team.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology,



or equivalent.5+ years of relevant civil design and drafting experience on site infrastructure projects.Registered as an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT), Engineering Technologist‑in‑Training, or equivalent designation.Strong experience with civil site works including grading, drainage, underground utilities, and surface improvements.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and similar civil design software.Experience coordinating civil works with electrical distribution systems is considered an asset.Fluency in English; bilingualism in French is considered an asset.CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – $102,500MB & ON: $70,600 – $97,200NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $65,800 – $88,600The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.Important InformationHealth and Safety is a core paramount value.
