You will act as a key partner to Sales and Legal, ensuring contracts are structured appropriately while maintaining compliance with ASC 606. This role offers a blend of technical accounting, systems ownership,



and business partnering.What you’ll be doingRevenue Accounting & ASC 606Own and support revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscription and complex enterprise contracts.Act as an internal subject matter expert on revenue accounting policies and application.Prepare technical accounting memos for complex transactions, new product launches, and non-standard arrangements.Deal Desk & Business PartneringPartner closely with Sales and Legal as part of the Deal Desk to review and structure complex contracts.Provide guidance on revenue implications of non-standard deal termsSupport business teams in navigating accounting considerations while enabling commercial outcomes.Systems & Data IntegrityWork within and help manage revenue systems (NetSuite and automation tools such as Leapfin).Ensure accurate configuration and processing of current products and revenue streams.Monitor automated outputs and ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue data.Month-End, Audit & ControlsOwn revenue-related processes within the month-end close cycle.Support and lead the revenue side of external audits, including responding to technical queries.Assist in maintaining a strong internal controls environment,



including SOX compliance.Process Improvement & ScalingIdentify opportunities to improve and automate revenue processes as the business scales.Help build and maintain a revenue playbook and standardized policies.Contribute to system and process enhancements to support a growing, complex revenue environment.The CandidateYou are a technically strong and detail-oriented accounting professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and partnering across teams.What they’re looking forCPA designation required.5+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong expertise in ASC 606 and revenue recognition.Experience working with complex contracts (bundling, multi-element arrangements, enterprise deals)Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders (Sales, Legal, etc.).Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar).Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.Nice to haveSaaS or subscription-based industry experience.Exposure to revenue automation tools (e.G., Leapfin).Experience in a SOX-compliant environment.Background in Big 4 or technical accounting.CompensationCompetitive base salary$85,900 – $101,000, there may be flexibility beyond this for highly qualified candidates plus benefits including health coverage, RRSP matching, and flexible PTO.WhereHybrid – Burnaby (2 days in office per week: Wednesday & Thursday)When & How to ApplyThis is an opportunity to join a growing SaaS company in a role that combines technical accounting, business partnering, and process development.
