The salary range for this position is CAD $39.40 per hour – CAD $49.21 per hour.About this RoleAs a Recreation Therapist Senior with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) at Dogwood Care Home, you will provide Recreation Therapy services within a patient/client and family-centred framework in designated residential settings/programs. You will work in a team-based environment, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based interventions, quality improvement, risk management, research, and education activities. You will assess and intervene with clients/residents, lead and supervise a team of students, volunteers and up to eight non‑health‑science professionals, and coordinate activities that align with the organizational values of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti‑Racism, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.Education & ExperienceBaccalaureate in Therapeutic Recreation or Leisure Studies from an accredited university.Two years of recent, related experience working with the designated population group in the applicable program area and setting, including at least one year of supervising staff or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency First Aid certification.Eligible for certification and CTRS credential with National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesComprehensive knowledge of evidence‑based Recreation Therapy practice related to applicable program health issues and treatment.Understanding of theories and concepts of therapeutic recreation, leisure, social psychology,
