Who we needReporting to the Director, IT Experience, we are hiring an IT User Training Coordinator to support the successful rollout, adoption, and day‑to‑day use of technology across the organization. As our new IT User Training Coordinator, you will lead engaging virtual and in‑person training sessions, support onboarding initiatives, create user‑friendly training resources, and help students, faculty, and staff confidently navigate institutional systems and tools. This is a highly visible and cooperative role that blends technology, facilitation, communication, and user experience.This is an existing full‑time hybrid role based in Toronto, working four days per week on‑site, alternating between our 85 Richmond and 120 Bloor campuses, with occasional travel between our BC and Fredericton campuses to support onboarding, orientation, and training activities.What’s in it for youImpact and visibility. Over time, this role can create pathways into project coordination, process improvement, technology planning, architecture, or other areas within IT and the broader organization.As our new IT User Training Coordinator, you will:Deliver training and support adoption.You will facilitate engaging virtual and in‑person training sessions for students, faculty, and staff, supporting the rollout and adoption of institutional technologies across the organization. You will lead onboarding and orientation‑related technology sessions, support remote users, answer questions,



and help users feel confident navigating systems and tools.Create training content and resources.You will develop accessible and user‑friendly training materials, including guides, presentations, onboarding resources, and supporting documentation. You will translate technical concepts into clear, practical language for non‑technical audiences and continuously improve materials based on feedback and evolving business needs.Collaborate across the organization.You will work closely with IT, student services, academic teams, and other departments to coordinate training schedules, gather business requirements, support onboarding activities, and align communication related to technology rollouts and user engagement initiatives.Drive engagement and continuous improvement.You will collect and analyze user feedback, identify common challenges, and recommend improvements to strengthen the overall training and user experience. You will support surveys, communications, and adoption initiatives using tools such as LMS platforms, SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, and presentation and feedback tools including Mentimeter, Kahoot, and Microsoft Forms.You haveThe education and experience.You have post‑secondary education in information technology, education, communications, training, or a related field, combined with experience delivering training, supporting digital adoption, or working in a user‑facing technology environment. You may have experience in IT support, project coordination, onboarding, customer service, facilitation, or another role where you helped users confidently adopt new systems and tools.The facilitation and communication skills.You are a confident and engaging presenter who is comfortable leading virtual and in‑person sessions for groups of varying sizes. You can translate technical concepts into clear, user‑friendly language and create accessible training materials, guides, and resources for non‑technical audiences.The technical aptitude.You are comfortable working with collaboration and training technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, SharePoint, LMS platforms, survey and feedback tools, and presentation platforms such as Mentimeter or Kahoot.



You are confident in learning new systems and helping others adopt them effectively.The interpersonal skills.You are outgoing, approachable, and highly collaborative. You build relationships easily across teams, ask thoughtful questions to understand user needs, and create positive experiences for students, faculty, staff, and colleagues.The organization and adaptability.You can manage multiple priorities, coordinate training schedules, balance facilitation with content creation, and adapt quickly to changing business needs and technology rollouts. You are comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with up to 25% travel, primarily within the GTA, with occasional travel to campuses in BC and Fredericton as needed.Compensation philosophyAt Yorkville University and Toronto Film School, we believe compensation should be fair, straightforward, and supportive of your growth. Our salary ranges reflect progression from learning in the role to excelling, with each offer based on skills, experience, and role complexity.This position offers an annual salary ranging from $60,000, a midpoint of $65,000, and a maximum of $70,000. Established hires typically start near the midpoint, while the upper range is reserved for those with deep expertise and sustained contributions.
