Role OverviewSystems Designer focusing on the top-level integration of electric drive systems in prototype vehicles and technologies developed by Epiroc, with an emphasis on mechatronic tasks.Work TypeOnsiteResponsibilitiesApply Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies to support senior systems architects with analysis, development and maintenance of system designs for electrification products including battery packs, BMS, and charging systems, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture.Decompose high-level system requirements into subsystem and component-level requirements and support traceability through design and validation.Assist with defining system interfaces between battery hardware, BMS software, charging equipment, and vehicle controllers.Participate in system safety activities, including risk assessments, FMEA support, functional safety concept development, and requirements alignment with ISO 13849 and IEC 61508.Use ALM tools to maintain requirements, traceability, and verification status across the development lifecycle.Qualifications2-3+ years of related industry experience.Domain experience in at least one discipline: Mechanical, Software, Electrical, or Safety engineering.Engineering degree, diploma, or similar, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.Experience using requirement-tracking tools (Polarion, Doors, Jama).Familiar with Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies (SysML v1.7, MagicGrid, Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method).Knowledge of, and experience with,
