Reporting directly to the Manager, Projects, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the safe execution to plan of various civil, tailings and water management construction project work.ResponsibilitiesReview designs and execution plans.Prepare/update site level construction prints.Track and report daily, monthly performance, including schedules, costs, labor, material and equipment usage.Prepare/update short-term schedules, track progress and mitigate delays.Complete field verifications to ensure construction is completed according to plans, drawings, and specifications in a timely and cost-effective manner.Support oversight of the work to meet quality standards and comply with the outlined scope.Liaise with stakeholders such as the client, engineers and site representatives, andcontractors/sub-contractors.Identify areas to increase project value and optimize resources.Directly engage the primary contractors that carry out the construction.Physically monitoring progress as compared to the construction schedule and provide regular status reports detailing progress of the project.Implement and facilitate daily construction progress review meetingsSupport other Tailings Construction project scopes as they arise.Complete monthly job task observations in all areas of construction.Facilitate and support daily pre-start meetings.Ensure compliance to Discovery Porcupine’s standards, policies and procedures.Training and EducationMinimum 3 years of experience in civil construction and project execution.Diploma in Civil Engineering Technician, Construction Engineering Technician, Mining Engineering Technician or related program.Foundational knowledge of construction estimating and project lifecycles.Team Leadership and Developmentexperience.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel.Proficiency in scheduling software/Gantt charts.Proficiency in 3D design software such as CAD/Deswik.Effective time management and organizational skills that will enable safe oversight of multiple construction fronts.Robust written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of construction standards and regulations.Strong problem solving skills are an asset.Compensation And BenefitsHealth, Dental, Life, AD&D;, Disability, Healthcare and Wellness Spending Accounts, Virtual Care and Employee and Family Assistance Program; Company contributions and matching into a Defined Contribution Pension Plan; andAnnual total compensation of CAD$123,432 to CAD$152,475 (including annual bonus eligibility).Deadline to ApplyMay 05, 2026Additional InformationThis posting is for an existing vacancy at Discovery Silver.We thank all candidates in advance.
