This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of medium-complexity projects and program components across the CI Financial Group of Companies, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.You will lead project execution while coordinating cross‑functional CI teams, business stakeholders, and third‑party vendors. Working closely with Program Managers, you will actively manage dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones to ensure program objectives and enterprise priorities are achieved.You will play a key role in integrated planning by reviewing and aligning project plans across IT and business delivery teams. You will support the execution of larger, more complex initiatives by providing clear status reporting, issue escalation, and decision support to program governance, sponsors, and executive leadership.What You Will DoSupport core PMO processes, including project onboarding, impact assessment, and estimation coordination.Deliver projects in alignment with PMO standards, governance, and methodologies.Develop and maintain clear project, resource, and communication plans.Define and document project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.Define and manage timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues.Actively manage changes to scope, assess impacts, and implement mitigation or contingency plans to maintain delivery commitments.Provide clear,
regular status reporting and executive‑level updates.Build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders providing clear, timely, and consistent communication.Coordinate cross‑functional delivery teams and secure required resources, including negotiating resource allocation with functional leaders when necessary.Resolve delivery issues and team conflicts, escalating as needed.Lead project closeout activities, including lessons learned and continuous improvement.Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of PMO best practices, tools, and standards.What You Will BringBachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, or Management of Information Systems preferredCertifications in project management (e.G. PMP) or in progress of working towards a project management designationUnderstanding of agile and scaled agile practices and holding certifications (e.G. CSM) is an asset3+ years working in the financial industry (is an asset) with at least 3 years in a management capacity.5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and executionStrong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, JIRA SoftwareExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skillsExcellent planning and organizationExcellent communication skillsAbility to influence and motivate othersThis opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $69,500 - $119,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
