Join the City of Woodstock as a Licensed Mechanic, focusing on the upkeep of crucial city fleet vehicles and specialized equipment. This permanent, full-time position offers an excellent workplace and competitive compensation.
Reporting to the Fleet Services Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness of our heavy, medium, and light duty vehicles. With a background in vehicle diagnostics and repairs, you'll utilize advanced tools and software to maintain our fleet to high safety standards. A solid knowledge of repairing various engines and systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair vehicles as per manufacturer specs • Perform routine maintenance checks and services • Use prescribed service manuals for repairs • Respond to emergency service calls • Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections
Requirements: • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED • Valid 310T and 310S licenses required • Experience in heavy equipment servicing is an asset • Valid DZ driver’s license • Excellent understanding of hydraulic and electronic systems
