The Engineering Office is located in Elmira (within the Tri‑Mach Group Inc. head office) where the role will work out of primarily.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of steel tanks, structures, and custom fabricated products from concept through detailed shop drawingsCollaborate with Project Managers to ensure designs accurately reflect project scope and client requirementsOwn the research, design and test of product or product subsystem development utilizing CAD and analysis toolsComplete SolidWorks 3D models and produce full 2D drawing packagesBuild bills of materials in the ERP system to support procurement and production planningWork with sales to develop concepts and define project scope for current opportunitiesCoordinate with purchasing to source materials from qualified vendorsSupport technical documentation and product information packages as neededRequirementsDegree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant fieldYou have a minimum of 3‑5 years industrial equipment design experienceExpert level knowledge of SolidWorks/SolidWorks PDM and AutoCAD 2DComprehensive understanding of metal fabricating equipment and experience with welding and sheet metalFamiliar with creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement of materials and componentsYou have a working knowledge of automated equipment and material handlingExperience in hydraulic and pneumatic schematic creation is considered an assetYou have an applied knowledge of Design for Manufacturing techniquesAble to communicate completed designs effectively using 2D engineered drawingsFluent in MS Suite applicationsWe Look Forward to Hearing from You!We are committed to diversity and inclusion.
