Are you an experienced materials testing technician with experience in lab operations? We are hiring a Laboratory Manager to be part of the management team and to lead a team of technicians in Terrace or Prince Rupert, BC. There will be regular travel between both offices.What the Manager will be doingManage staff and resources to perform laboratory testing on concrete, aggregates, soils and asphaltResponsible to ensure operation of the laboratory is running efficiently,



while maintaining the high level of accuracy to our clients' expectationsMaintain laboratory CCIL certificationsPerform quality control reviews of laboratory staff and test resultsReview final reportsOversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipmentMentoring current and junior techniciansAssist with writing proposalsProvide consulting services to our clientsDetermine the staffing levelInterview and hire testing techniciansWho we are looking forPrevious experience in supervising lab technicians and assist with lab operations is requiredExperience with Nuclear Densometer is an assetDeep understanding of test proceduresGreat attitude and willingness to learnGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift and control weights up to 35 lbCurrent or recent CCIL and/or CSA certification iWhat we are offeringDepends on Experience, starting wage is $38/hrEnrollment to group benefits after 3 months.
