When you join SA, you play a part in giving every student who walks through our doors a fair shot at reaching their potential.Role OverviewReporting to the Team Lead, Network Engineering, we are seeking dynamic IT Field Technicians to contribute to the development and maintenance of technology for Success Academies. In this role, your duties will include interacting with stakeholders on various stages of the infrastructure lifecycle and collaborating with several vendors to deliver results. You will also be responsible for the deployment and integration of new technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesIn assigned cohort/borough: Monitor network performance, diagnose issues, dispatch, and be willing to travel to other boroughs on an as‑needed basis.Perform routine redundancy tests and liaise with 3rd party to replace failed hardware, create network diagrams, and search for areas of improvement.Help test changes and improvements in each assigned location before and after mass implementation.On‑site support for events or tests; help with networking issues on printers, VC units, and laptops. Clean up and maintenance of network closets and cabinets.



Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds.QualificationsAt least 3 years of experience working within a corporation or consumer‑focused environment, managing vendors and delivering projects.Experience with internet technologies and an understanding of IP networks, DNS, routing, Wi‑Fi and communication protocols.Knowledge of products and technologies related to web performance and the ability to collaborate with MSPs, software engineers, business partners, and other stakeholders.Ability to discover and remediate areas of poor Wi‑Fi coverage or performance and work to resolve these issues in a timely manner while multitasking and managing multiple projects efficiently.Possess a bachelor’s degree related to IT networking.Must have a valid driver’s license, car, and the flexibility to work outside standard hours in case of an outage. Ideal candidates live within commuting distance of the NYC Metropolitan area.Experience with Meraki Wi‑Fi.CompensationExact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. This position is not bonus eligible.
