Operations Technician Storage and LoadingThe Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m³ and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a private Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.PositionThe Operations Technician S&L is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG’s dynamic Operations team. The successful candidate reports directly to the Shift Supervisor. This role will be based on the Project Site, in Squamish, BC, and you will play an essential part in supporting the company’s operations team through the Operations Readiness Assurance Phase into Start‑Up and into the Operational Phase of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibility/ownership for safe production and execution of activities/tasks in their area during their dutyMaintains a thorough knowledge of the current operational status of the plant and equipment in the process section by reference to daily instructions, logbooks and shift change‑over communicationsMaintains a thorough understanding of current safety procedures and operating procedures/work instructions as well as Standing Orders to ensure adherence by all personnel in the process areaSupport the Operations Management in executing the ORA Plan to ensure readiness for Start‑Up into the Operational Phase of the project and throughout the life‑cycle of the facilityEnsure availability and reliability of plant and equipment during their shiftSupport implementation of the agreed Maintenance StrategySupport PTW including functionality/improvements, isolation standards, competencies, issuing, precautions, compliance, auditing, PTW manuals, authorizationEnsure the operational area is free of hazards and risks are mitigated to ALARP expectationsEnsure all equipment and plant to be handed over for maintenance are correctly isolated and in a safe state for personnel to undertake tasksSupport the development and implementation of check lists & routines for the plant and equipmentTimely delivery of input data and correctness for plant daily report to Utilities LeadInterface with technical services department for integrity issues and compliance checksInterface with HSSE department for compliance and improvementsInterface with other departments for support requirements and documentationHSSE100% compliance with company HSE policies and guidelinesChampion HSE as a member of the LNG Operations TeamLead HSE Shift Meeting / safety walks / audits if requiredTimely intervention to mitigate risks and ensure safety of personnel and plantDemonstrate a personal commitment to influence overall safety behavior in the plantSafeguarding systems check lists are implemented/completed by Shift Operations to agreed frequencies and standardsEnsure that Shift Operations Emergency Response capabilities are 100% met during shift periodBasic fire fighting and emergency response experience preferredRequirementsHigh School DiplomaMinimum 2‑3 years in Industrial and/or Storage and Loading Facilities4th Class Power Engineering CertificateDemonstrated previous experience in operations of industrial, storage and loadingPrevious experience working with other departments to support production targetsKnowledge of actions required on Site First Intervention Team during Emergency ResponsesFully versed in Managing Protected Work with Permit to Work SystemAdditional RequirementsCommunication/interpersonal skills – to be able to interact with front‑line workers through managementAbility to work well under pressure handling tasks, targets and changing priorities within tight time framesExpertise with a variety of computer programs (e.G.
