Job Title: Human Resources Generalist (U.S. & Canada)Location: CanadaPay Range: $27–$30 CAD/hour (based on experience)Reports To: HR ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our HR Manager in managing HR operations across both the United States and Canada. This role requires a robust understanding of cross-border employment practices, compliance, and employee relations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the HR Manager in daily HR operations across U.S. and Canadian employeesEnsure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local employment laws in both countriesAssist with recruitment, including job postings, candidate coordination, and interview schedulingCoordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for U.S. and Canadian employeesAssist in maintaining accurate employee records in accordance with legal requirements in both jurisdictionsAssist HR Manager respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment standardsAssist in administering payroll and benefits for both U.S. and Canadian employeesSupport policy development and updates to ensure compliance with cross-border regulationsAssist with employee relations matters, investigations,



and documentationPrepare HR reports and ensure proper recordkeeping for audits and complianceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)2–5 years of HR experience, preferably supporting both U.S. and Canadian workforcesWorking knowledge of U.S. employment laws (e.G., FLSA, FMLA, EEOC) and Canadian employment standards (federal and provincial)Experience with multi-state and/or multi-province HR complianceStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systemsBilingual (English and French, Canadian)Preferred SkillsHR certification (e.G., SHRM-CP, PHR, or Canadian HR designation such as CHRP)Experience with cross-border payroll and benefits administrationHigh level of discretion and confidentialityStrong problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsInsurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees and dependentsRetirement Plan: RRSP with company matchingPaid Time Off: Accrued PTO at 3.33 hours per pay period after 90 days up to 80 hours a year#J-18808-Ljbffr
