The recreation therapist conducts assessment, develops intervention plans, provides evidence‑informed interventions and evaluates recreation therapy services. Interventions are delivered to groups or individuals in an inpatient, outpatient or community setting, addressing patients’ leisure needs and overall care plan. The recreation therapist oversees the delivery of the overall recreation therapy service for a program or team.
