That is something to be excited about!Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of our financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:Month‑End Reconciliations: Utilize Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Subtotals) to build and maintain month‑end reconciliations.Financial Integrity: Apply a “detective” mindset to spot unusual variances, duplicate transactions, and imbalanced GL accounts.Ownership and Accuracy: Take control of assigned areas to ensure accurate and complete values are posted to the financial statements.Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Maintain a collaborative work style to engage effectively with the organization and vendors while strictly adhering to internal policies and procedures.Basic qualifications and experienceEducation: A post‑secondary bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, specifically with VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Subtotals.Analytical Mindset: Proven attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or errors in financial data.Accountability:
A strong commitment to completion and taking ownership of assigned financial tasks.Professional Balance: Demonstrated ability to balance team-oriented engagement with the enforcement of financial policies and procedures.Preferred qualifications and experienceProfessional Designation: Currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).System Proficiency: Prior experience with ERP and reporting tools such as NetSuite, Blackline, and Workiva.Public Company Experience: Familiarity with public company month‑end close processes and reporting timelines.Financial Complexity: Experience handling multi‑currency transactions, including USD/CAD conversions and foreign currency invoices.Audit Readiness: Experience supporting internal or external audit requests, including pulling samples and documentation.Efficiency: Proven ability to manage high‑volume data entry and complete reconciliations accurately and on time.Salary and benefitsThis is for an existing position. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and internal benchmarks. The base salary range is 70,000 – 90,000 CAD.
