Reporting to the Supervisor, Maintenance, the Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating the Crane to provide operational support in an open pit coal mine by relocating and repositioning equipment and materials.

The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary.In this role you willBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresSetup crane for lifting including mobilizing and stabilizing, calculating crane capacities, determining load weights and drafting lift plansOperate conventional and hydraulic mobile Cranes, up to 300 ton, to lift, move, position or place equipment and materialsAbility to perform various types of rigging to efficiently complete minor to complex jobsPerform routine maintenance work, such as cleaning and lubricating cranesRequirementsValid Interprovincial Red Seal Mobile Crane Operator CertificationPreference will be given to applicants holding a Mobile Crane Operator Hydraulic 300 ton and Under CertificateApplicants require a Class 5 Driver’s License, Class 3 or Class 1 Drivers License would be considered an assetHourly Wage$52.73#J-18808-Ljbffr
