Nelson Community Services is seeking a permanent Family Preservation Worker (28 hours per week). The incumbent in this position gathers information on and assesses family functioning problems. Develops and implements intervention plans within program guidelines. Provides referrals, support, guidance and problem solving to clients to address issues related to family functioning. Provides parenting skill building, emotional support and feedback to clients. Provides supervision for family visits. This 28 hour position starts April 22, 2026.Bachelor’s degree in a related human services/ social services field.Experience:Minimum of one (1) years’ recent related experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.The position is entitled to annual leave, sick leave, and extended health perks as per the Collective Agreement.The position requires Union membership with BCGEU.The wage is consistent with Wage Grid 12 JJEP [$29.17 to 33.49] of the Collective Agreement.Must be willing to work flexible schedule to meet the needs of families,
