ResponsibilitiesReview the Daily Production Schedule and work orders at the start of shift to ensure that all packaging materials are available.Review production schedule to ensure that all work orders are available at the exit end work station.Review all work orders to ensure all packaging instructions and special instructions are being followed.Visually inspect the strip during the first 100 feet, the middle 100 feet and the last 100 feet for any defects and record on Exit Operator's report.Notify the Line Operator and Foreman when defects are encountered. Record all defects on Exit Operator's Report.Stay up to date on all 24/7 training modulesAnalyze every job and reduce the hazards as much as possible before startingEducation and CertificatesHigh School education or equivalent combination of education and experience.QualificationsPrevious experience with packaging steel coils is an asset.Familiar with using hand held air operated tensioners and crimpers is an asset.Familiar with working with a computerized tracking system – AS 400 or similar.Understanding of Quality Standards as they pertain to ISO-900 or similar.Able to work in a quick-paced environment.Understanding and ability to follow detailed work instructions.Forklift and Overhead Crane experience is an asset.Works in a safe manner at all times, wearing appropriate PPEs.The base pay for this position is $23.18/hour with a target variable pay of 4%Samuel is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
