Millwright, Lead Hand (UPP00033)Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role supports the safe and continuous operation of the Mine’s development, production, and maintenance activities at the Upper Beaver Gold Project. The Lead Hand acts as the primary link between the mechanical workforce and the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance tasks while upholding Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.ResponsibilitiesAssign daily tasks to millwrights, apprentices, and contractors based on priority, skill level, and equipment availability.Work collaboratively and cross‑functionally with colleagues, engineering, production, and services to achieve the objectives of the Maintenance Department.Consistently apply established policies, procedures, and best practices.Monitor work progress, remove barriers, and communicate status updates to the Maintenance Supervisor.Work within budget, guidelines, and standards, and execute safety and maintenance plans as established by the General Supervisor and Agnico Eagle maintenance standard.Inspire and lead the crew in safety, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism.Ensure work history is entered into planned and completed work orders and returned to the planner for close‑out.Identify and elevate all critical issues that threaten the successful execution of work orders for completion by their required by‑date.Ensure crew follows assignments; assess assignments during shift to verify that schedules are being attained and take corrective actions as required. Complete all maintenance‑related reports and work orders and communicate status to the on‑coming shift(s).Lead and support the millwrights in maintenance execution; lead the performance ofpreventative maintenance.Keep work areas and equipment clean and free of safety hazards on a continuous basis and conduct routine inspections of the workplace.Overhaul and install parts on mobile and fixed equipment installations.Work with OEM contractors to carry out maintenance activities.Work with the Planner to ensure materials are ordered and entered purchase requisitions in JDE.Communicate reports on maintenance and log repairs.Install new or overhauled equipment in a timely manner according to manufacturer’s recommendations.Conduct equipment inspections in response to Operations concerns or as outlined by a maintenance schedule.Perform repairs in a cost‑effective, secure, and environmentally friendly manner to maximize equipment availability.Plan and communicate work with other departments.Perform all other duties as assigned.Qualifications5–10 years of heavy industrial or mining maintenance experience; gold processing experience preferred.Ability to lead teams and be accountable for site maintenance activities.A general understanding of computers, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate team members.Work Schedule7/7 schedule at the Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.CompensationMinimum Salary: $59.13 - Maximum Salary: $73.81#J-18808-Ljbffr
