What you will doSupport a block of in‑force large and/or complex Group Benefits clientsDevelop and maintain relationships with consultants and be attentive to their needs so that they are excited to do business with Canada LifeLead the sales process from request for proposal to finalist presentationPerform all duties related to the management of accounts assigned, in particular financial duties such as annual account renewalSolve problems related to unusual or delicate claims and address financial matters for which guidelines are not available or act in cases where a decision must be taken after consultation with Field ManagementEstablish and maintain good working relationships with internal partnersWork collaboratively with respective service counterparts to ensure customer service needs are exceededPromote additional products and services with consultants, plan sponsors, and service counterparts to enhance client retentionAchieve annual sales, persistency, in‑force growth, profit and other targetsWhat you will bring5+ years of experience in the field of group insurance and thorough knowledge of group life insurance, healthcare insurance, disability insurance, and underwritingExcellent communication skills,
both spoken and written with an enthusiasm for doing presentationsExcellent mathematical skillsAbility to act quickly and put forward innovative solutionsAbility to work in a quick‑evolving environment and adapt to growth and changeStrong sales and interpersonal skills as well as motivation to achieve business objectivesKnowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPointValid driver’s license and vehicle, given the travel needsDesignation of C.A.A.S. (certified group benefits advisor), GBA (Group Benefits Associate), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a significant assetCompensationBase salary for this position is between $59,600 and $109,600 annually.
