OverviewOn behalf of our client, a globally recognized Atlantic Canadian organization, we are looking for anHR Generalist, Global Supply Chainto join their growing team.The OpportunityThe HR Generalist, Global Supply Chain (GSC) will play an important role in supporting land-based operations across multiple processing facilities in Atlantic Canada. Working closely with plant leadership and employees, this role will support key Human Resources initiatives including staffing, training, employee relations, compensation programs, and disability management.Based in Bedford, Nova Scotia, this role will involve regular travel to processing facilities in Nova Scotia (including Cape Breton) and Newfoundland.Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to operational leaders while ensuring HR programs and practices support both employee success and business performance.The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys building strong relationships across teams. They bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day HR execution.Collaborative and relationship-drivenStrong problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsHands-on, proactive approach to supporting operational teamsDetail-oriented and highly organizedAbility to work independently while also contributing to a broader teamResponsibilitiesHuman Resources Partnership— Provide HR leadership and support to land-based processing operations across Nova Scotia and NewfoundlandPartner closely with plant leadership teams and employees to support day-to-day HR needs and operational objectivesSupport the execution of HR strategies aligned with overall business and operational goalsEmployee Relations & Labour Relations— Manage employee relations matters within processing facilitiesSupport the administration of collective bargaining agreements, including grievance processesCoach and advise managers and supervisors on employee relations and labour mattersEnsure consistent application of policies and practices across facilitiesTalent & Workforce Planning— Support full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, interviewing, testing, job offers, and onboardingLead new employee orientation initiatives within processing operationsMonitor workforce metrics including turnover and staffing effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvementPrograms & Compliance— Coordinate HR programs and processes including training, compensation initiatives, and reporting activitiesEnsure compliance with provincial and federal employment legislationLead Workers’ Compensation and Disability Management programs including claims managementSupport First Nations employment initiatives within Global Supply Chain operationsEnsure consistent administration of employee benefit programs in collaboration with the broader HR teamIdentify opportunities to improve HR processes and operational practicesSupport organizational development initiatives within plant environmentsContribute to ongoing HR and operational improvement initiativesRequirementsPost-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources ManagementMinimum 3+ years of HR experience, ideally within operational or plant environmentsExperience working within unionized environmentsStrong understanding of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland employment legislationProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Experience supporting labour relations,
