At On Side, Water Damage Technicians (WDTs) go wherever a burst pipe, blocked drain, sewer backup or other water-related disaster calls.What you bring…Laborers bring a host of abilities to their work with a ‘get it done!’ attitude. Additional abilities required include:Experience in demolition and emergency mitigationPhysically fit – water damage can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight placesUnderstanding and experience using hand and power toolsMechanical aptitude – you can look at something and just know how it worksTech savviness (capability to learn applications and computer programs as required)Willingness to follow all company safety requirements including wearing full PPE as required:



Full face masks require clean shave (if applicable)Strong people, teamwork and communication skillsAttention to detail, ability to follow directions, reliable attendance and a safety mindsetValid driver’s licence, clean drivers abstract and a clean criminal record (we do check)Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbalOther skills that will help you be successful but aren’t mandatory:Experience in construction, particularly demolitionWHMISFirst AidOf NoteDisasters can strike at any time so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.
