The culture is entrepreneurial and performance-driven, with a team that is passionate about litigation and focused on delivering high-quality results for clients.Your Recent PositionThis is an exciting opportunity for a junior Litigation Associate (1–3 years post-call) to join a busy and growing practice. You will work alongside experienced litigators and gain exposure to a broad range of files, with increasing autonomy over time.Key areas of work include:- Insurance-related litigation (acting for insurers of brokers and agents – non-traditional insurance defence work)- Professional liability matters- Civil litigation- Select employer-side employment mattersYou will play an active role in managing files, drafting materials, conducting research, and communicating directly with clients.What You'll Need to Succeed- 1–3 years of post-call litigation experience in Ontario- Strong research and drafting skills,
with the ability to independently interpret and apply legislation- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to build a long-term litigation practice- Ability to conduct effective legal research both independently and with the support of technology (including AI as a secondary tool)Preferred (not required):- Exposure to property damage, insurance-related, or commercial litigation- Employer-side employment law experiencePlease note: Candidates with backgrounds primarily in personal injury, family, or criminal law will not be considered.What You'll Get in Return- Competitive compensation: $90,000 – $130,000+ (commensurate with experience)- Low billable target: 1,200 hours- Attractive bonus structure: 25% of all fees billed above target- Comprehensive medical and dental benefits (80/20 split)- 3 weeks’ vacation (increasing to 4 weeks over time)- Hybrid work model (1 day remote per week)- A clear and achievable path to partnership- Early responsibility and meaningful hands-on litigation experience in a supportive, high-performing environment
