Wholly owned by its team members, the firm continues its tradition of leadership in the financial community as one of BC’s most respected investment firms.THE OPPORTUNITYWe have an chance for an IT Operations Administrator to join our award-winning firm in the Vancouver office.WHAT YOU’LL DOReporting to the Supervisor, IT Operations and Service Desk, this role supports the day-to-day reliability, security, and performance of end-user computing and infrastructure services. You will execute and coordinate patching across desktops, thin clients, and servers; provide Tier 2/3 escalation support; manage certificates andauthentication services; and oversee backup and recovery operations. You’ll also participate in related technology projects, working closely with the Service Desk and Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams.This role requires the successful candidate to work onsite five days a week.RESPONSIBILITIESPerform desktop patching and maintenance for Windows endpoints and thin clients, ensuring timely updates and minimal user disruptionPerform server patching and lifecycle maintenance for Windows and Linux systems in accordance with change and security requirementsProvide Tier 2/3 service desk escalation support, troubleshooting incidents to resolution and documenting root causes and corrective actionsAdminister certificate management processes (request, renewal, deployment, and revocation) to maintain secure services and endpointsSupervise daily backup operations and recovery readiness, including monitoring jobs, investigating failures, and supporting restore requests and testingManage user authentication services and access controls (including account provisioning/deprovisioning and MFA support) in alignment with security policiesOperate and support managed file transfer services, ensuring secure configurations, reliable schedules, and successful delivery of business-critical transfersMaintain server connectivity and authentication integrations (e.G., domain services, SSO-related components), troubleshooting connectivity and trust issues across environmentsSupport virtualized environments and Citrix-based services,



collaborating with Infrastructure teams to maintain performance and availabilitySupport Microsoft 365 and Azure operational tasks, including service health monitoring, configuration changes, and identity-related troubleshootingMonitor and maintain Active Directory healthCOMPETENCIESAsset Management – Plan, budget, purchase, requisition, deploy, manage and maintain assets to optimize their value, lifespan, and operational readiness and support business usersCoordination – Prioritize, organize, and manage information, people, assets, resources, messages, tasks and/or activities to achieve a goal within timelinesCustomer Service – Determine needs, capture relevant information, apply internal policy or regulation, and elevate and prioritize the requests of customers to answer inquiries, fulfill transactions, or resolve issuesIT Management – Oversee, align, and optimize IT systems, infrastructure, and resources by implementing strategies, managing risks, and supporting organizational goals through technologyKnowledge Management – Capture, document, organize, retrieve, and share knowledge to enhance learning, collaboration, problem solving and decision‑making or to respond effectively and consistently to inquiriesProduct Knowledge – Maintain and deepen knowledge of company products, services and/or applications in order to align features, benefits, and uses to client or stakeholder needsTroubleshooting and Problem Solving – Discover, diagnose and resolve technical issues and communicate solutions to business users to maintain smooth technology operationsKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, and/or end‑user computing support in a production environmentDegree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceWindows Desktop and Windows Server administration experience,



including patching and operational troubleshootingProven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at a Tier 2 level or higher, with clear incident documentationWorking knowledge of computer networking services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, routing/switching basics, and troubleshooting connectivity)Citrix experience supporting published apps/desktops and related infrastructure in an operational environmentAzure experience, including identity and access concepts and operational support of cloud servicesExperience supporting virtualized environments and understanding the operational impacts of maintenance, capacity, and performanceThin client management experience (configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support)Microsoft 365 Admin experience, including operational support and service health awarenessStrong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across Service Desk and Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teamsUnderstanding of using CoPilot or other AI solutions in a corporate environmentExceptional verbal and written communications skillsWHAT WE OFFERA culture of openness, collaboration and respect is foundational to our firm.
