Working under the direction of the Director, Controllership, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the execution of accounting processes related to The Mobile Shop (TMS) business. reconcile with general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies – ensuring accuracy and completeness.Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for complex transactions.Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking related tasks.Review, analyze and provide reports as requested for decision‑making purposes.Design, implement and maintain robust internal control procedures for all accounting functions.Serve as the primary accounting point of contact for the TMS Finance team.Supervise, train and review the work of staff to ensure quality of work and adherence to deadlines.Provide coaching and guidance to staff on professional development.Assist with providing data for corporate tax reporting requirements, audits, insurance claims, etc.Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.Manage ad‑hoc financial projects.Assist in the development and implementation of accounting goals, policies, priorities and procedures.Establish and maintain strong, cooperative relationships with internal and external customers.Perform other accounting duties/projects as assigned.QualificationsPost‑secondary degree, diploma or certificate in business, commerce, accounting or related discipline.Minimum five years of relevant work experience.CPA designation preferred.Strong technical accounting, problem‑solving and analytical skills.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including prior experience in the use of pivot tables, advanced formulas, filtering and organizing large volume of data.Proven ability to work as part of a team contributing to a positive and progressive work environment.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Strong supervisory, verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.#J-18808-Ljbffr
