From early planning through to delivery, we work collaboratively with our clients and partners to get projects done right.The RoleFor this expression of interest (EOI), we are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support the design and delivery of overhead and underground electrical distribution infrastructure projects. This role provides strong exposure to engineering design, field work, and multidisciplinary collaboration early in your career.RAM Consulting is proud to be an EGBC Accredited Employer. Through this program, EITs receive structured mentorship, clear competency development, and guidance from experienced Professional Engineers to support progression toward P.Eng. designation. Engineers at RAM gain exposure to real projects, practical design work,
and construction support while building the experience required for professional registration.This role is particularly well suited for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop strong technical foundations and learn directly from experienced engineers working on real infrastructure projects.What You’ll Be Working OnSupporting the design of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems for infrastructure and utility projectsPreparing engineering calculations, cost estimates, and detailed design drawingsApplying relevant utility standards, CSA and IEEE codes, and regulatory requirementsAssisting with technical documentation including specifications, reports, and tender packagesSupporting construction activities by coordinating with contractors, engineers, and project teams to resolve field issuesParticipating in site visits and field inspections to gather data and verify design feasibilityAssisting with as-built drawings, final calculations, and project close-out documentationCollaborating with civil, structural, and environmental teams to integrate electrical systems into project designsWhat We’re Looking ForBachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited programEIT designation or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or APEGAStrong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including power systems and control systemsExperience with CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD or Revit; MicroStation consideredan asset)Familiarity with electrical analysis tools such as ETAP or SKM Power Tools is an assetStrong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to learningThe estimated annual base salary for this position is$55,000 - $65,000as of the posting date.
Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive bonus program or the comprehensive benefits package offered by RAM Consulting.
