The Research Quality Associate works with the research community, including scientists, research teams, senior leadership, Research Solutions & Service leadership, conducting and reporting internal quality audits and promoting leading practices in quality, risk management and responsible conduct of research.Job DetailsUnion: Non-UnionNumber of vacancies: 1New or Replacement Position: ReplacementSite: Hydro Place - 700 University AvenueDepartment: Research Quality Integration (RQI)Reports to: Manager, Research Quality and ComplianceSalary Range: $40.49-$60.73 per hour or $78,954-$118,424 per annumHours: 37.5 hours per weekShifts: DaysStatus: Temporary Full-TimeClosing Date: May 18, 2026ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and lead research quality audits, collaborating with investigators and research teams to identify gaps and facilitate corrective and preventive actions.Collect and analyze related program data, trend results,



prepare key performance indicators, and participate in preparation of executive reporting.Assist in coordinating risk management activities, collaborating with risk owners to identify, assess, evaluate, plan and monitor risk mitigation strategies.Assess and monitor internal and external research environment, governing legislation, guidelines and regulations to identify potential risks or quality gaps.Manage projects integral to RQI strategic initiatives, including coordinating and conducting research program review activities and system/process gap analyses.Develop and communicate research best practice standards, delivering effective education, training and support to research programs.Benchmark and evaluate research programs, services, systems and tools.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in health science or related field; Master’s preferred.Minimum four years in an academic research setting (wet/dry lab or clinical research).Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements, standards and issues related to the research environment.Experience in quality audit processes, ideally in an academic research environment.Outstanding ability to interact with, engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, senior-level executives, management and front-line staff.Expertise in business writing, including policy,
