OverviewIf you like staying active and working with a team, this is a great fit! Burly Boyz Moving is hiring a BC Foreman at our Vancouver branch!Responsibilities include: driving a moving truck, protecting our customers' property, physically moving our customers good in/out of the truck, and delivering a outstanding customer experience. You must have an above average level of overall fitness, be friendly in nature, and be an above average driver with at least 3 years of driving experience with a clean abstract.Additional responsibilities for the Foreman:Operational ExcellenceWarehouse Oversight: Map and document which customers are currently in storage and which customers are coming into or leaving storage per Jobber.Ensure sufficient storage crates are built and available so no loose items or piles exist.Receive and send CN Trailers and directly oversee their unloading and loading.Conduct inventory of company supplies and materials weekly. Communicate needs to ensure we don’t have shortages.Delegate and actively participate in keeping the warehouse clean and organized with no loose belongings, garbage left laying around. All items like brooms, ladders and cleaning supplies are stored in their appropriate places.Ensure the Debit Machines are returned to the warehouse and docked each night.Sign off on loads coming into our warehouse and loads that are coming out. Certify the Bingos.Complete investigations for missing items.Quality ControlEnsure that clients are given a courtesy call by all team members.Ensure high-level customer service that generates 5-star reviews through your performance and the performance of others.Teach, train and mentor the movers to improve on their skillset and efficiency.Ensure that the work such as padding and TV crating/boxing, packing of fragile and glass is performed to our company’s standards.Visit other job sights for QC inspection and on-the-spot training and coaching.Have a solid understanding of our policies, procedures, standards,



and expectations so that they can be enforced and coached on the spot.Ensure that all Long Distance and Local Storage moves have a completed Tag/List procedure and Bingo procedure that are uploaded to Jobber with the hardcopy paperwork following the load and filed properly in the office.Bring truck repair and maintenance concerns to management’s attention.Keep trucks stocked with the appropriate equipment and materials.Have a very good understanding of each jobs’ challenges and requirements.Coordinate with our Logistics to understand the Load and Delivery order of the Interprovincial trailers and ensure the deliveries and loads are completed in that order.Training & DevelopmentLeadershipCoordinate training for new hires and incorporate them accordingly into jobs. Identify issues, violations, and concerns in the field as directed by the Personnel Manager.Complete employee progress reports and participate in regularly scheduled meetings to update the HR and Personnel Manager on employee behavior, performance, and development.Host your own weekly meetings with your workforce to bridge the gap on any communication and training pieces while also creating feedback opportunities for the workers.Exemplify a mentality of ownership by ensuring you and all teams have all the necessary equipment and materials to execute your assignment.Inspect your team and ensure everyone is ready to go, in dress code at all times and mentally primed to succeed.Review the assignment with the team ahead of arrival and set goals after completing the walkthrough with the client.Be available by phone in the event our workers face a challenge and need your support including payment disputes after office hours.Motivate, encourage, recognize, and support your drivers and swampers at all times.Ensure all brand expectations are being met and hold your team accountable to any poor standards by mentoring them and having them correct the issue (e.G., poor padding or loading).Adherence and enforcement of all company policies and procedures.Provide constant and logical communication with your office partners as per the company flow chart including updating on arrival times, unforeseen challenges and your proposed solutions,
