Tsawwassen First Nation (TFN) is seeking two full‑time Outreach Workers to join the Family Service Team. The Outreach Worker provides community‑based support for Indigenous individuals, including youth and families, who may benefit from increased connection, guidance, wellness support, and opportunities to build on their strengths. including attending staff meetings and collaborative planningStay informed about wellness trends, community needs, social issues, and best practices in supporting youth and familiesMaintain respectful, confidential relationships in accordance with TFN valuesPrepare reports, maintain accurate files, and track program data to support program development and evaluationEnsure files meet requirements under the TFN Freedom of Information and Personal Privacy Act and other relevant legislationSupport TFN teams in fostering trusting, non‑judgmental, culturally safe relationshipsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the effective and safe operation of the programQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSDiploma in Social Work, Addictions/Mental Health, or a related fieldMinimum of two years’ experience working with youth and/or families, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This may include lived experience supported by relevant training such as mental health or substance‑use education, Substance Use certificates, or Mental Health First AidExperience building rapport and working effectively with Indigenous youth and individualsExperience advocating with external service providers on behalf of youth and familiesStrong understanding of family and social issues affecting Indigenous youth, including the generational impacts of residential schools, and knowledge of First Nation (Coast Salish) cultures and traditionsAbility to develop and facilitate workshops and groups for diverse audiencesGood working knowledge of community resources in Delta, including youth‑specific and Indigenous‑specific services; familiarity with FraserHealth and MCFD is an assetDemonstrated ability to work with self‑initiative, independently and as part of a teamAbility to work within and support the mandate, policies, and procedures of the organizationStrong skills using computers, technology, and social media platforms commonly accessed by youthStrong written and oral communication skills,

However, flexibility is a key requirement of this roleBased on program needs and to best support the health, wellness, and engagement of youth, families, and the community, the Outreach Worker may be required to work some evenings and weekendsHours and days of work may be adjusted to ensure services are responsive, culturally grounded, and accessible when individuals and families need supportHOURS OF WORKHours of work are a scheduled total of 37.5 hours per weekStandard hours Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend work based on community needsCOMPENSATION$34.74 to $38.05 per hour.
